Set expectations on the page
Explain what information helps the team respond. For a service request, the visitor might need to share the service type and a short description. Avoid promising an instant reply unless the business genuinely provides that level of coverage.
Prefill the right context
A message can identify the service page the visitor was reading. Keep it short enough to edit before sending. The link should open the correct business number with the international country code and should not silently transmit a message on the visitor’s behalf.
Keep another contact option
Some visitors cannot or prefer not to use WhatsApp. Provide a working email or enquiry form as an alternative. Make sure a floating button does not cover form controls, cookie choices or other important content on a small screen.
Measure useful outcomes
The business can record whether conversations become qualified enquiries, while respecting customer privacy. A high number of button clicks alone does not prove that the page is producing useful work. Review the quality of the questions and improve the page information accordingly.
